Flood Emergency
Overview
An urgent request from a regular UK client was received early Wednesday morning regarding a critical issue on their trading floors (three in total) in Milan. A blocked pipe had caused significant flooding, with water cascading through the ceilings and pooling beneath the raised access flooring.
By Wednesday afternoon, our directors and senior management, accompanied by a dedicated task force, were on-site to assess the situation and implement immediate measures. This included decommissioning monitors and desks to prevent further damage, as well as removing defective MF ceilings to mitigate the risk of collapse.
By Friday morning, an 11-person team was deployed to execute comprehensive remediations over the weekend. These efforts encompassed repairing all flood-damaged areas, complete redecoration, testing electrical components, and reinstalling desks and monitors. Thanks to this swift and coordinated response, trading operations were fully restored by Monday morning.
